Must try and dig out some photos to pop up here for you to look at.

What’s Been Happening?????????
Here I am again. Back with updates.
It's all happening in the Downey household.
Not 1 but 3 new jobs in our house.
I can officially tell you now that I have a casual job at the Scrapbook Lady in Pakenham. This is ULTRA exciting - but not only me - Emily has a little job there too just putting things away, pricing etc. How cool!!!!!
And the 3rd job goes to..........................Sean. He has officially resigned from Bunnings after nearly 10 years and is now the Store Manager of Darren Spargo's Photography in town. We are all very excited about Sean's new move - big decision - but it will great to have him working locally instead of travelling each day. He will start early December - right in time for the Silly Season!!!!!
So there you go - we all went out last night to celebrate - drinks all round!!!!
So hence that is why I haven't been updating my blog as much lately - flat out having fun. I am absolutely loving my job and look forward to the days I work. Yay!!!!!
Speaking of work - I created a Sketch Challenge which runs from November up til the week before Christmas. We are promoting our NEW Mini Banner - customers come in, make a small purchase, pick up their FREE Mini Banner and sketch challenge, go home, create a layout, bring it back into the store and then it will be judged by someone independent and they will win a hamper of goodies. Pretty cool huh?
I know a lot of you are not locals - but you can always just join in the sketch challenge. Just follow the sketch and leave me a link to your creation. Would love to see what you create. (Having troubles updating the sketch as it’s in Word format – if I can I shall convert it and share with you, otherwise you can just follow my basic layout)
I have added the banner - just kept most of it in the raw chipboard and then embossed the little scalloped trims. This is little Stephen's first Christmas. I just adore this photo.
(On the baby front - our gorgeous Sudanese friends - George and Medina are expecting baby no. 3 just before Christmas - how exciting!!!!)
Well that' it from me. I will be popping in pretty randomly with any updates of as my mum used to say as we walked through the door "any news, notes or gossip?"................LOL.
Luv ya.

Scrap That Ad Challenge over at Scrapz Biz
Over the last 6 weeks I've joined in the fun over at Scrapz Biz They have been having a great little challenge where we had to be inspired by a certain ad on TV - some going back to when I was growing up. We had certain criteria to follow and we had to create a layout for each of the 6 weeks. I had lots of fun as I haven't been doing a lot of creating of late.
Here are my layouts
Week 1 I still call Australia home
For this layout I have used all bits and pieces – old slides, Australian flag toothpicks turned into a banner, coloured matchsticks and other bits and pieces
Week 2 We're Happy Little Vegemites
For this layout I have used all things Vegemite – I ripped a label off a Vegemite jar and stuck that down I even used the yellow ring from the top of the jar.
Week 3 Not Happy Jan
For this layout we needed to use a page from a book – so I used an old children’s nursery rhyme book that I picked up at an op-shop – it was falling apart anyway so I didn’t feel bad about wrecking it.
Week 4 Life Be In It
For this layout we needed to create something inspired by the Life Be In It ad so I went with some great photos of Josh on his unicycle and one of my new Li’l Daisies
Week 5 Dove
For this layout we needed to be inspired by the Dove ad – I went with the theme that beauty is all around us. I did some serious recycling for this layout – I re-used the inside of window envelopes – I even stuck my photo behind the window face…LOL, old playing card, clothes labels, old stamps, bread tags etc.
Week 6 Tim Tam Genie Ad
And for the last ad we had to think of 3 wishes – I explained that my 3 wishes have already come true – first to find Sean and have the fairytale wedding, second to have 3 beautiful healthy children and then to buy our very first home – our family home where we are all living happily – happily ever after. We are truly blessed
So there you have it – this was a very challenging and enjoyable challenge – certainly made me step out of my comfort zone.
Thanks for looking.

WHAT CAN YOU DO???????
What can you do with my new Handmade Daisies "Li'l Daisies" range?
Here are some samples I popped up on my Handmade Daisies Blog.
I have designed the mixed packs to match the newly released ranges from CHA Summer 2010 in America (and a few older ranges too)
The mixed packs can also be used for everyday purposes as well - not JUST the new releases.
The first 2 cards are using Echo Park Sweet Summertime paper range (which I just love) and the last card was created using the same mixed pack but just using bits and pieces from my own stash. The ideas are endless.
I have come to like attaching my daisies using good old glue dots – firstly they do a good job and secondly – I’m lazy – I like quick results…….LOL!!! Another way I way I attach them too is to use a stapler – just a couple of staples on a couple of petals and voila!!!!
Thanks for your support with my little business - it means a lot to me.
Luv Sandie
How are you going with your Christmas In July cards?
I am still tryinig to work through mine. Have been a little busy creating my new handmade daisy range so I suppose I have an excuse. I am still determined to get them done though.
Good luck. Don't forget there's some little prizes up for grabs.

Check these out....................
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qybUFnY7Y8w this one is very clever - just imagine how long it would have taken to set up.
And this next one is just too funny. It's for an ad in America.

There is an ad in Australia at the moment which is supposed to be a take off of this ad. I prefer the American one for sure.
