Lucy's Card Sketch Day 2

Here we are at day 2 of Lucy's challenge.

Once again - I have been doing my fave thing - using up scraps.

Little bit of red/white elasticised gingham trim, October Afternoon patterned papers and the good old dymo label.  Heart Punch is by Stampin Up and doodled bits and pieces.

Hope you're having a great weekend.

Case Study Challenge #71

I decided to join in yet another challenge.  I'm really having so much fun.

This time it's for Case Study Challenge.  The idea is to take inspiration from this gorgeous card

So I got to using up the scraps from my latest cards to create this one

I've used all sorts of bits and pieces here.

Kraft cardstock for the base of the card and for the Doily Spellbinder die cut, Octobe Afternoon alpha stickers and patterned papers, twine, raw button and one of my Handmade Daisies and I used some green staples.

Lots of fun and lots of colour.

Thanks for looking.

Happy New Year.

Card Patterns Sketch 146

I have to say I've been having fun just creating away today.

I thought I'd enjoy the holiday break by joining in some on line challenges.

This card was created for Card Patterns Sketch challenge no. 146

I have used patterned papers by Creative Imaginations "Loolah" which I just love, the stamp is by "A Muse Art Stamps" cute little teddy he is and then I've added some hand doodling around the circles and wrote "welcome little one", the baby photo is actually from a sticker sheet I picked up in the $2 shop.

I used the same torn concept as I did on my original layout a few years ago now of my gorgeous little Sudanese friend Stephen.

I just love this layout - he was such a gorgeous little bubba!!!!!

Thanks for looking.

Luv Sandie

Just adding:  I made the Super 6 for this sketch - have to say I was a little excited about that!!!! Yay!!!!

Celebrate Card

Finally - here is my card for My Blog Challenge "Celebrate".

I have used Octobe Afternoon paper, a little old stamp I've had for ages and coloured with Copics - still learning, I used some gorgeous red felt packaging for the frame - it was leftover from a christmas decoration box, Martha Stewart butterfly punch - is there any other? NO!!!, and other bits and bobs.

Thanks for looking.

Feel free to join in.

Is there something you have always wanted in the world of scrapping and just can't find?  Or is there something you would like to swap?

Well I am going to start the ball rolling.  I REALLY, TRULY WANT this paper

It's by Cosmo Cricket, Odds and Ends "Remnant".

Does anyone have a sheet or 2 in their stash that they are willing to part with?  What would you like in return for me to swap with you? Or maybe I could buy them from you.

If you can help, leave me a comment and I will see what we can come up with.

Lots of luv

I'm feeling like creating "just because"...........I am going to have some lunch and then settle into my craft room and create a card or 2.

Care to join in the challenge with me?

You can either make a "Happy New Year" card or a "Celebrate" card.

Happy creating!!!!

Don't forget to pop back in here to share a link to your place/blog so we can pop in and see your creation.

I am very excited to announce that I was asked to be part of the very first issue of "Cardmaking In Easy Steps" which just so happened to be my fave subject - Christmas.

It's a great issue with stacks of goodies to get a head start on Christmas cards including some yummy stamps.

My cards feature on pag 61 - 63.  My challenge was to use the kit supplied and to create cards in under 5 minutes.

Ooooh I love Christmas.

Luv Sandie

You seriously need to pop on over to Craft Queen for the 5th Birthday celebrations.

Here are my cards created as part of the celebration.

There are some amazing giveaways - so happy creating.

Luv Sandie

Yes - that's right!!!  Today is World Card Making Day.  All over the world card makers will be creating away - in groups, with friends or even on your own.  It doesn't matter - just go crazy and make cards.  Perhaps you could make a start on your Christmas card (note to self - start Christmas cards.....LOL).

So to help celebrate I am giving away some of my daisies.  The winner will get to choose a colour combo of their own.

So I dug up some of my old sketches (and very sketchy they are too..........LOL).

You can interpret these as you like - you may turn them sideways and you can add whatever you like.

Have fun and leave me a comment to this post with a link to your creation or drop me an email with a photo that I can share with everyone. Deadline will be Saturday 8th October.

I  hope you all have a great weekend.

I am still here - in case you were wondering............LOL!!!!

Yes - I'm still here.

I have just been one busy little black duck with either working, organizing kids or just day to day things and I'm sure you can all relate to that.

Went to see this film last week

..............and boy did I love it!!!!!  I cried, and cried and cried to the point where my shirt was all wet from the tears rolling down my face.  It was such a beautiful and touching story.  If you get a chance you have to go and see it.  (Although, having said that - I was amazed when I walked out of the cinema.  I asked a lady beside me if she liked it - I also asked her if she cried - she gave me this crazy look and said "no - I didn't cry at all!!! Did you cry?"  I went on to tell her that my shirt was all wet and that I had run out of tissues.  But then I do cry very easily).

What else has been going on.  I think I told you a little while ago that we bought ourselves a little old caravan.  Well we are in the process of doing it up a little in readiness for our maiden voyage.  The kids are getting so excited.

Sat up and watched the Brownlow last night - I love to see all of the fashions.  There certainly were some lovely gowns.  Very pleased to see Dane Swan win - very deserving winner.  As my mob are all Collingwood it's getting a little tense in our household.  Looking forward to a good game this weekend hopefully.  We usually go on our little holiday to Geelong - me thinks we shall have to wait to see how things pan out............LOL!!!!!

Mark you diaries for "From Picture 2 Page" show comig up in mid October.!/pages/From-Picture-to-Page-scrapbook-papercraft-show/118903148209525?sk=photos

Well that's it for now - hope all is well in your part of the world.

Stamps For Sale

Hi to all of my girlies out there in Blog Land.

Sorry I've been MIA lately.  Been one busy little black duck - that's for sure.

I am in the middle of a clean up and as I find goodies I will be popping them up on my blog - so they are all up for grabs.

Just the 3 stamp sets so far - this one I've put up before but I'm trying again.  Would love someone to have it and give it a home.

It's going out for $10.00 + postage - BRAND NEW!!!!!

the second set is a Heidi Grace wooden stamp set of 6.  I've used this a couple of times.  It's a beautiful stamp set.  It's going out for $15.00 + postage.

Next one is a Hero Arts stamp - I simply had to have it at the time (you know how this is I'm sure) anyway, I've used it once.  It is red rubber - it is stained black as I used StazOn ink on it, however, it is clean.  It's taking up room and I'd rather someone else make a home for it.
It's going out at $15.00 + postage.

If you are at all interested, please leave a comment to this post.  First in is the winner!!!!!

Cars 2

Took the kids off to the movies this morning - school holidays and all - people everywhere.  We saw Cars 2 which was really funny.  Did a bit of shopping and then came home for lunch.

Plan to do some creating this afternoon.  I need to organize some cards for work "Christmas In July".  Decisions, decisions - I just love Christmas!!!!!

Anyone else started their Christmas cards yet or is that a dirty word!!!!

Luv Sandie

Remember when I announced this

Well it all happened over the weekend.

We flew out on the Saturday, stayed in a luxurious hotel/apartment, went to the show that night at the Lyric Theatre - the show was fantastic - absolutely loved it and then we spent the morning in Sydney - went to mass at the biggest Cathedral in Australia and then grabbed a bite to eat before we flew home again.  I also have to add that Sydney turned on the beautiful weather while we were there too.  It was so nice to see the harbour glistening away.

It was a bit of a rush around but I tell ya what - it was so fun and just what Sean and I needed to spend some quality time together.  All thanks to one little bottle of Taft Hairspray - just goes to prove you've got to be in it to win it!!!!!

Stamp 3 Ways

Over the weekend I created some cards using the one stamp - 3 different ways.

Check out Nicole's blog to see what I did.

Hello out there!!!!

YES I am still here.  I have just been rather busy and not had much time to think about blog land.

So - I think we need a challenge and I think it needs to be Christmas In July............there you go.

Are you up for the challenge?  If you are, create a card, otp, atc or layout to do with Christmas.  Great opportunity to start that stash of Christmas cards so you're in time to send them out early December instead of being too late.

Hope all is well in your part of the world.

Luv to all.

May Challenge

Join in my Blog Challenge for the month of May.

This month I challenge you to create a wedding card.

With all the romance of the Royal Wedding of Kate and William, I thought it would be nice to carry on the theme of Weddings.

I have to say that I absolutely loved the whole wedding.  I thought Kate looked stunning - her dress is gorgeous.  I also thought her sister Pippa looked equally lovely.  I hope they are happy together.
Have fun with this one.

Be sure to pop back to this post to let me know your link to your blog or alternatively drop me an email.

You still have time if you'd like to join in my monthly challenge.

Just drop me a little post letting me know if you have created something.

Luv Sandie

Today, after all the glory of the Royal Wedding, marks our 17th Anniversary.  We are still if not even more in love now.  We were remembering our special day - very similar to the day/weather that we experienced today.

We are celebrating by spending some quality time in the city tomorrow.  We may even share a cuppa and cake (even after 17 years I'm still not good with sharing my cakes............LOL!!!!)

Love you babes!!!!!

Another card

Just wanted to share another card I worked on during the week - I nearly forgot.

Over at Scrapz Biz they hold a weekly challenge.  This week's theme was "basket".

So for my card I chose to do some basket weaving with patterned paper and then added some bits and pieces to create the card.

I love the colour combo too actually.  Very vintage.

Thanks for looking.

Luv Sandie

I managed to sit down at my desk today to create a card.

I completed this card for a challenge over at a recently found blog - Jay Gee's.

I loved the inspirational pictures to choose from and basically went for the image of the little girl and the beautiful soft colours of the pinks and ashy blues/greens.

So this is my card.

I have used a gorgeous new little stamp by Pure Innocence "Out On A Limb", I also used buttons, paper flowers, lace, bias binding and some natual mesh.

Thanks for popping in.

Hope you have had a great day and Happy Easter.
