Happy (Belated) Valentine's Day

I hope everyone had a lovely Valentine's Day.

Sean and I were lucky enough to go on a date on Saturday night.

We dropped the kids off at Sean's mum and dad's home and drove off into the city.

We had a little walk along Southbank - plenty of atmosphere with Chinese New Year celebrations going on.

We had a bite to eat - Chinese food and then we went to the movies. We saw "Up In The Air" with George Clooney. I wouldn't say it was a "must see" movie but it was great. Definitely not predictable which is always great.

We then had another walk along Southbank - plenty of buskers about. I couldn't believe how many people were out and about at such a late hour - when we would normally be in bed............LOL!!!!

We then drove up to Lygon Street to enjoy a coffe and cake.

Beautiful night to be walking around too.

We then drove home to an empty house - most unusual.

On Valentines Day we took off to Mass together which was nice and then we headed to the local market where I picked up some beautiful fresh produce.

Then we headed home for lunch. Sean's mum and dad came with the kids - gee it was great to see their faces again. It was so nice to have time to ourselves but we are so used to having the kids around. Sean's brother, sister-in-law and son also dropped in for lunch.

We all then just spent the afternoon doing what we wanted -nothing basically!!!!! LOL!!!!!

Happy Valentines Day

Happy Valentines Day to all.

With everything that has been happening around her lately - Valentine's seems to have been put aside.

However, me being the romantic that I am still love to love!!!!!

Sean and I are going on a date tonight - well we are going to watch a movie in the comfort of our loungeroom which doesn't happen very often so we are looking forward to it. It will be nice.

Here is a cuppa that Sean made me a while ago. He loves making coffee and always tries out his latte art on me.

Bee My Valentine

Righto, here is my first Valentine's card for the year. I thought it might be a good idea to make a start and what better way to be inspired but to pay a visit to 2 Sketches 4 You. I have completed this card for Laura's Sketch No. 16.

I have used some pp by Bo Bunny - corrugated look pp, hessian, my new Heart Suffolk Puff gadget to create the green fabric heart - I love suffolk puffs and I love hearts so that was a bonus, I used my bright yellow Handmade Daisy to create a Sunflower and also added some tape measure stems and the cutest little bee button I had in my stash.

Oopsie................nearly forgot

I nearly forgot to officially say "Happy Valentine's Day" everyone.

Hope you did something special. If you did pop on in and let me know what you did.

I drove to Sean's work and we had lunch together so that was nice to spend some time together.

I have lashed out tonight and we are going to have Creme Caramel..........I reckon I deserve it after losing 1 kilo. It's gunna be yummy.

I Have A Passion For Hearts

This is a heart OTP I made for a challenge over at Little Scrapbook Shop.

I have handcut some acetate and then cut another heart in the Scenic Route pp, I have added a chipboard heart, doodling, buttons, alphas and a frill I made from the reverse side of the patterned paper.

Forever In My Heart

I have used rub-ons for this card - haven't got a lot of rub-ons as I prefer, usually, to use stamps, gotta tell ya though - they are fun to use.

I have used the same Scenic Route pp as I did for the card for Remember When's Blog today.

Monday Blog at Remember When

Today on the Remember When Blog I have posted a Valentine's Day card using some gorgeous laser cut hearts.

I have also used Scenic Route patterned paper "Lloveland Garnet Street" which is just BEA-utiful and some other bits and pieces.

Here is the card.

Well I paid attention to my own adivce and...........

...........made a start with my Valentine's Cards for the florist.

Here are some of the ones I created last night.

I was really happy with the "Love Elsie" ones........and I just love pink and brown so that's a good start.

I Luv You 2 Best Friend

This is a Valentines Card for Sean.........as he is my best friend.





I have used red bazzill cardstock, 7 Gypsies Measuring tape, Remember When flower inked and doodled with black zigwriter, "I luv you" by Thickers and the hearts are by Collections.





Here it is

I must add I saw this 7 gypsie tape on a card somewhere on the net (not sure sorry) and they had highlighted a child's birthday I think from memory......I think it was with a star or something like that and thought it was a funky idea.........so I did it for the "2" and in "too"

Love

All you need is love and..............black bazzill cardstock, HeidiSwapp "newsprint/leder" chipboard letters, some ribbon - I picked up this ribbon from a market for $2 its beautiful - it is cream organza with a beautiful flocking all over it, some flourishes by Remember when which I have painted with acrylic paint and some buttons, oh and some flowers.

Note to self................start making some Valentine's Day cards to sell at the florist............NOW!!!!!!

Should probably get myself organised to drop some cards off to the florist...........think I probably sold a dozen of them last year so its definatley worth it.

Now for some ideas.
