Ok I need some help for this one. I need some people to help join in.
I would like you to send me a small collection of offcuts/snippets of bits and pieces so I can complete a card using these odds and ends. Bits and pieces like a button, off cuts of patterned paper, small pieces of ribbon etc. Once I receive them I will complete a card and share with you on my blog.
If you would like I can send some bits and pieces to you in return.
Thanks for joining in. I will contact you via email once I hear from you.

Last Weeks - Weekly Blog Challenge
Ok, here is the card I promised from last week. My challenge was to use a piece of patterned paper from way back - you know the one that you "just had to have!!!!!!". This is mine - well one of the many "must have" pieces of pp that I have here waiting to be used.
I have sanded the entire pp and then distressed the edges using a distressing tool. I have also added some copper card and blue card along with buttons (of course...LOL) and gingham ribbon.
The stamp is by Stampin Up "All things frown with love"
Thanks for looking.

Sandie's Scrap Room
Here is another Pink Paislee project I worked on for part of the day today.
I have used Pink Paislee pp's, stamps, some of Sean's wood shavings, sheet of cork, buttons, red lace and brown trim, a green plastic tape measure, some bling and some paint.........I think that's basically it.
I am going to hang this on my door.
Thanks for looking.

I've been tagged..............
The gorgeous Renee has tagged me so I have been doin some thinkin and have come up with answers to these 5 questions. Be sure to pop in and say hi to Renee - she does some mighty fine work!!!!!!!
So here are the rules of the game:
Each player answers the questions about themselves. At the end of the post the player then tags 4 people and posts their names with links to their blog, then goes to their blogs and leaves them a comment letting them know that they’ve been tagged and asking them to read your blog.
Let the person who tagged you know when you’ve posted your answers.
Question 1: Ten years ago. I was a stay at home mum with Emily 2 and Tammy 1 and I was expecting Josh.
Question #2: Five things on today’s “to do list” Complete some more challenges for Pink Paislee Contest. Remember to pick up kids from school when I get too carried away with creating..........LOL. Cook dinner - hey I just remembered we have leftovers.....yay!!. 4. Go to STARS meeting. 5. Make sure kids have clothes to wear for "free dress" on last day of term.
Question #3:Snacks I enjoy - chocolate, chocolate and more chocolate!!!! Ummmm....what else...........chocolate...........LOL. Chips, nuts, ice-cream, health bars.
Question #4: Things I would do if I was a millionaire - pay off the house, renovate the house (there is no way I am moving again I luv it where I am, put money away for each child for education, go on a holiday somewhere with our family, donate some to charity and the rest would just go into investment and some spending money just for fun.
Question #5: Places I have lived - well I have only ever lived in Victoria/Australia - I'm not very adventurous. I lived with my mum and dad right up til I was married and then moved out on the day of our wedding. So my first move was to beachside Inverloch. We had Emily while in this town. We then moved to Mornington - another beachside town where we had Tammy. We started up our own Franchise business and that took us to where we are today - good old (not so warm) Pakenham. We are very settled here and wish to stay forever.
So that is it........my list is complete so I need to call on 4 of my friends to learn a little bit more about them.
My lucky four are:-
Lyn
Wirg
Fleur
Deanne
Watch out girlies...................you've been TAGGED!!!!!
Thansk for dropping by - I love to hear from you.

Altered frame
Here is an altered frame. I have had this one for yonks - I picked it up at an op-shop for a couple of dollars. I discovered its actually metal - I originally thought it was plastic.........nice discovery. I almost didn't want to use it but I'm sure glad I did.
I have used Pink Paislee patterned papers and clear stamps again for this project as an entry for the Pink Paislee Contest at CMK.
While I was rummaging through my stash I also found a piece of rubber that I picked up at a recylced centre a few years ago. It has a sticky back to it................I got to thinking..........."hey I wonder if I could use this for a "mirror" image stamp". So I cut a piece of it and mounted it onto an acrylic block, inked up the little birdie stamp using brown ink and then stamped it directly onto the rubber, I then breathed hot air on it (very technical terminology.....LOL) and then stamped that image onto a piece of teal card stock - tadahhhhhhhhh...........I did it. I created a mirror image of the stamp. I have a feeling I'm gunna luv this technique. I have always wanted a mirror image stamp but they are always too expensive. So now with a bit of thinking and a bit of rubber - I have the answer. Cool as.
So here is the creation.
Thanks for dropping by.

My Entry For CMK Pink Paislee Competition
Here is my layout/wall hanging of sweet little Stephen our little Sudanese friend.
I have used mostly Pink Paislee products for this layout. I have also added a plastic garden stake and some plastic plant ties just for something a little different. And to hang the layout I have used a cinnamon stick and green twine.
Thanks for looking
Luv Sandie
Tip: I didn't have matching brown stickers so I placed these stickers onto an acrylic block, lightly sanded them and then lightly dabbed a brown inkpad directly onto the stickers. Carefully pulled them off the acrylic block and placed them onto the layout.......worked a treat.

Okedokes.................I'm going to.............
............start up my Weekly Blog Challenges again. Who would like to join in with me?
Righto - I've decided to challenge myself to find a sheet of patterned paper that I have had in my stash for a long time and that I dont know why I bought it now that I look at it...............LOL.
Come on - I'm sure everyone has at least one sheet of 12 x 12 they just "had to have" ........now you look at it and think.........what am I going to do with it. I've actually given some of these sorts of sheets to the kids to use - they love them!!!!
So I'm going to find a sheet and I'm going to alter it by sanding it - distressing it and turning it into a work of art.........LOL. (I will work on my card either tonight or in the morning and then come back to share it with you all)
If you'd like to join me...........just add a comment to this post and leave a link to your card.
I would love to see what you come up with!!!!
Thanks for popping into my blog.

Fly Away............
Ok I have been playing around with a deck of cards. These were a mixed up muddled up deck of cards that were at the op-shop. Naturally I looked at them and thought................hmmmmmmmmm..........I should be able to do something with these.
So here we have it - something really simple but I am pleased how they turned out.
I just drew a bird to create a template and then traced it directly onto the playing card, cut it out, created a wing and attached it with a red sparkly brad.

I have mostly used StampinUp stamps "All In The Family" I love the cute little people that you can create.
(I must say I wasn't overly happy how they
were photographed in the magazine - one of the
shots had a close up of a big blob of glue....oh well......early days)

Something Old, Something New!!!!!!!
I created this card for Sketch This Sketch No.54.
I found an old kids puzzle book in an op-shop a little while ago and thought - hey I could do something with that - it has a vintage feel to it. So I created yet another tree - I just have a thing for trees at the moment - and birds, however, I resisted the temptation of putting a little birdie on this card - but I nearly did it...............LOL.
So here is a photo of the page from the puzzle book and the finished card. I had fun with this one. I have a few other pages from the same puzzle book and I'm really looking forward to giving another card a go.

Vintage Stamps
I have been having a bit of a clean up of my scrap room girlies. I have had this stamps since I was a little girl - they are classed as Vintage Stamps now...........LOL. Bit sad buy hey........at least I still have them. As you can see they were very much loved back then - I am going to attempt to clean them but I will have to be very careful me thinks as they could be fairly fragile.
Dont ya just luv them? They dont have nice images on the wooden blocks so I just had to take a photo of the actual rubber. In case you cant see there is - a train, 2 planes, an elephant, a bear, a lion, a dog with a cap on and an astonaut. I think I am going to have a go at creating a card or two with these little treasures. When I do I shall share them with you.

We had a lovely weekend.........
We headed up to Donald to Sean's sisters on the weekend for Sean's nephew's First Eucharist.
It was a nice family time altogether. We stayed in their caravan park in their yard which was fun too.
We travelled up on Saturday and came home around tea time last night - very tired but it was nice to all catch up.
Today Sean and I had a day together in the city. We went to this Design Build Expo which was interesting. It showcased all the new inventitions in building and design. We scored some freebies here and there. Afterwards we headed into Melbourne and had a little shop around - didnt buy anything just had a good look. We just appreciated the time spent together.
Sean's mum sent a text and offered to cook dinner - wahooo!!!! and she also picked up the kids from school for us so we could take our time. So all in all............a great few days.
Not much planned for the rest of the week - might try and lay low for a few days. Hopefully!!!!!
Oh .........and I won an RAK over at Renee's Blog which was a nice suprise.
Nighty night everyone.
Chat tomorrow.

Today at Remember When Blog
Here is a card I made for the Blog at Remember When.
I have used some green/white checked pp and some laser cuts by Remember When - "Off Centre Circles" and "Flower Set 1". I simply inked the circles using red/green inkpads and then inked one of the flowers from the set and added a button for the centre. As I'm into doodling lately, I had to add some doodling to the circles and also the border of the card. I used some alpha stamps for the title and added them to the card. I quite often use the title "Bloom Where You're Planted"..........simply because..................I like it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOL.
This was a very, very quick and easy card to make.
Thanks for looking.

Weigh In This Week
Weighed in at STARS this week and i lost 300grams - hey not as much as I would like but I'll take it!!!! At least I'm headed in the right direction!!!.
As I am the President of our little slimming group I always try to come up with inspirational things - which at time can be hard when I'm struggling myself, however, I had a "Eureka" moment at about 6 oclock tonight. Just a little idea but everyone loved it.
I gave all the girlies 2 pieces of paper. On one they had to right their favourite "health conscious"snack and on the other "problem areas". So everyone wrote down their fave snack on one piece and the other they had to right a meal that they struggle with or perhaps a paticular food that we have problems with.
I collected all the pieces of paper and seperated them into 2 separate boxes. For the "problem" box I pulled each one out and read it out and we all brainstormed ideas relating to each one - it really got us all thinking and we came up with some fab ideas for each of us to try.
At the end of the meeting we ended on a positive and the other box was handed around - we had to draw one piece of paper out and read what the favourite snack was and take it with us and try it for the next week - so everyone has a new snack idea to try.
I am really pleased everyone loved the idea - like I said it gets a little hard to keep things positive sometimes.
So my snack to try this week is - yoghurt - yummo!!!!! Luv the stuff!!!!!! Wish me luck.
Do you have any problem areas? Do you need some help? Why not share it with me.
Hope everything is ok in your part of the world.

Just sharing a quote.
I recently watched "Becoming Jane" all about Jane Austen. The movie was made in 2007 I absolutely loved it.
There was a quote in it which I paticularly loved "Sometimes affection is a shy flower that takes time to blossom". This quote was from Mr Wisely who adored Jane - however she did not return these feelings. A little bit sad and a whole lot deep.
Just had to share.

Another Sketch Challenge
This time I popped into Taylored Expressions to join in the fun of a sketch challenge which just happens to involve cupcakes.........gosh I just luv these things.
So for this challenge I have created a handcut circle to which I have distressed the edges with a Making Memories distressing tool - love these things too, then I added a doodled edge around circle to which I painted using pink/green watercolour paints. I then stamped a HeroArts cupcake flower from my absolute fave set "Clear Design Cupcakes", I stamped it again and painted it too and added kindyglitz and a rhinestone by Kaisercraft and then mounted it on the circle using double sided foam tape. Cut another 2 images and cut out the flower, painted and added a rhinestone also. I have also added "yum" and "cupcakes" stamps from the same stamp set. Pink Bazzill cardstock and white card to which I have added a doodled border.
I think I might keep this card all to myself and add it to my little cupcake collection in the kitchen.
Thanks for looking.

Here is a card I made using a sketch at Triple The Sketch
Here is a card I made for a great sketch over at Triple The Sketch.
I have only used white cardstock and stamps using Brown StazOn ink. I have added some brown trim at the top, 2 brown buttons to which I have tied some brown ribbon around and the stamps are by Lil Davis and StampinUp. I dont think you can see in the shocking photo - however I have also added some pearls by Kaisercraft to the Crillon stamp by Lil Davis....i love these pearls.
I enjoyed this sketch and I think I'm gunna try some more cards using the same one - but this little black duck needs to get to bed......LOL.
(Once again - I should take photos in the morning but I took this one to join in the fun of Renee's blog RAK - thanks Renee)

A couple of layouts
Ok over at All Craftz the challenge was to create a layout using 3 products - large Green Tara Flower, 7 Gypsies "Top Secret" tag and a Shimmer brad by Making Memories. We were sent these 3 products and had to create a layout. The criteria was that they weren't to be hidden in anyway, they weren't to be touching each other at all and we weren't allowed to use tape or glue to attach anything to layout. It was a challenge but I did it. We also had to reveal something about ourselves that was funny or interesting. So I opted for the funny - I dont like my feet and dont like anyone looking at them so I did a layout about that which in itself is "top secret"
I added some doodling and hand journalling.
The next layout had to be something funny about ourself - our body in fact. Well I already did my feet so that left my "thumbs"...........they are pretty weird and can turn right back like mushrooms - I can thank my dad for that as he has them too..........LOL.
Here is the layout - we had to use one of the sponsored products - Basic Grey, 7 Gypsies or Kaisercraft, so I used the packaging from a basic grey chipboard album- when I opened it I knew straight away that I just had to recycle it and use it - nice brown/cream floral, and then I used Kaisercraft stamps.
