Tickelz January Kit

At the start of the month I purchased a Tickelz Kit from Scrapz Biz and created this layout using just SOME of the goodies that you get. It's amazing all the little goodies that you get.

Here is a layout of us all camping when the kids were younger. It was a real hoot going through our earlier digital shots - in fact, our first digital shots and looking at the kids when they were so little. Gorgeous little faces - even though I didn't have any to share of camping with you, I will have to print some off to create layouts with.
So this is a family camping trip in a little hideaway spot near Orbost.

New Year - New Challenge

Ok we're off and running.

For each month of 2011 I am going to set a new challenge. The idea is to use up goodies in your own stash - of course you may splurge now and again and buy something but there is no pressure to do so.

For the month of January the challenge will be -

RUBONS

All you need to do is create a card, layout, OTP - whatever you like, and as many creations as you like.
(My sample card using some rubons that I've had in my stash for a few years now.)

Use up all of those rubons that are just sitting in your stash - crying out to you "use me, please!!!!!"

If you also add items starting with the letter "r", you will get an added bonus entry into the draw. So you might create a card or layout using "ribbon" or "ricrac". Cool - you'll get a bonus entry. Too easy I reckon.

At the end of each month - all entries will be placed in the hat and you will win a little something - in this case you will win some rubons to add to your stash.

So - your time starts......................NOW!!!!!!!!

WHEN YOU ARE DONE, POP BACK IN TO THIS POST AND LEAVE A COMMENT AND A LINK TO YOUR CREATION, DON'T FORGET IF YOU CREATE MORE THAN ONE - LET US KNOW SO WE CAN GO AND HAVE A LITTLE LOOKIE AT YOUR PLACE.

Entries

1. Deb's card

2. Vicki's card

3. Lisa's layout

4. Vicky F - ATC/envelope

5. Shandell's card

Happy creating everyone - enjoy!!!!!

Moxie Fab Neutral Challenge

There is a challenge on at Moxie Fab which ends today. Nothing like leaving it til the last minute.

I have been working on this card - in my head mind you - for a couple of weeks now.

I can finally reveal the finishing product.

I had lots of fun working with these colours - I love the vintage feel to this card.

I have used all sorts of bits and pieces - patterned paper, old paper doily, altered frame - painted, brads, pins, handmade daisy, butterfly die, Martha Stewart butterfly punch, buttons and a gorgeous vintage tulle trim.

Thanks for dropping by.

Scrapz Biz Mission 11 - Rubons

We needed to create cards with rubons with different rubons sentiments.
I used rubons by Cosmo Cricket, Sweetwater, Love Elsie and Kaisercraft.

Mission 12 Embellishments

For challenge 12 - the requirement was to use at least 3 different embellishments.

(In this shot you can see that I've used the inside of the 'Quilton' toilet roll...........LOL)

(little bit of butt crack showing here)

(pinwheel flower and ruffle using toilet roll and also a ruffle of toilet paper)

(photos of cereal box used and toilet roll and toilet paper)

I decided to base my layout on some rather funny photos of some of the kids creations. One day it was all quiet in the kitchen, I went to see what was going on to find these funny little "toilet roll people". I laughed and knew I had to take a photo of them. Josh went that little step further and had his dude complete with "butt crack".............LOL!!!!

As you know, recycling is my fave thing, so to tie in with the photo, I used a toilet roll and toilet paper on my layout.........LOL!!!!!

Here are the shots.

Scrapz Biz Mission 10

Mission 10 - ok - our challenge was to follow a sketch which incorporated 2 photos and we had to have the same colour chipboard embellishments.

So I opted for 3 chipboard button stars from Scrapbook Lady which I covered with AED embossing powder, the pp's, paper stars and journal card and trims are all by October Afternoon

Scrapz Biz Mission 9 Mixed Alphas

Righto - for this challenge we needed to add a mixed alpha title.

I have used alphas by Echo Park, October Afternoon and Jenni Bowlin.

Other goodies used include papers and journal cards by Echo Park Summertime, Unity Camera Stamp, little playing card, teal string, Martha Stewart Butterfly punch, dymo label and buttons.

This is a photo of the kids a few years ago out the front of Myer looking at the Christmas windows.

Thanks for looking.

Mission 8 - Stamps

Mission 8 over at Scrapz Biz was to use any "unused" stamps. Now I have a little confession - I have stacks. So I got to and created the following cards.

I had lots of fun making these cards and could have gone on forever, but - there are more challenges ahead.

Got to be in it to win it.

Mission 7 - Punches, Dies and Embossing Folders

Righto - this challenge was good fun.

We needed to use some of our punches, dies and embossing folders and some old patterned paper.

I have used

Martha Stewart Butterfly punch
Fiskars Grass punch
Sullivans Fence die
Dienamics Tree die

the patterned paper is a very old one - one of my original purchases. I think it was by K&Co.

I have also used some little paper flowers and mixed alphas.

The photo was taken on the side of the road near Mirboo North. I pulled over on the side of the road and found this beautiful spot. I was really pleased how the photo turned out.

Thanks for looking.

Mission 6 - Tools

Today our challenge was to clean out our basic tools - organise them. No actual challenge to create.
All is well. I organised by punches, dies and embossing folders.

Tick - all done.

Mission 5 - Scraps

For mission 5 we were required to use ONLY patterned paper scraps - no cardstock. Are you kidding. This was a huge challenge for me. We weren't supposed to go too heavy on embellishments either so I managed just some dimensional magic on my apples, sentiment stamps and a little bling.

It was a great challenge to use up all of those little bits and pieces that I simply HAVE to hang on to.

Handmade Daisies, Li'l Daisies and Craft Queen

Well - It was my turn to update the Craft Queen Blog with a little tutorial.
So here are the goodies I created - you can get full details on the blog so jump on over there and check it out.

I used Glimmermist on my Daisies which I was instantly happy about. I also used it on ribbon which was lots of fun and even recycled the sheet that I sprayed the Glimmermist onto. Go check it out.
Thanks for dropping in. Hope you have the bestest weekend.

Mission 4 - Scrapz Biggest Loser

Ok - I seem to be on a roll. I'm really enjoying myself.

Mission 4 - challenge is to use up some of our patterned paper. I have plenty so my challenge was to decide which ones..........LOL!!!!

I opted for some WRMK papers which I had cut into and had bits and pieces leftover.

We also had the option of following a tutorial by Sheree where she showed us how to complete the layout.
I followed it mostly but had to alter a few bits and pieces as my photo was landscape instead of portrait so I didn't have as much room.

I have also added a doily which I used Glimmermist, my Li'l Handmade Daisies by Sandie, handmade tags, stamped doily, pink acrylic flower, Martha Stewart butterfly punch, kaisercraft pearls, pins, skeleton leaves, teal trim and buttons.

How is your weekend going? Been doing any creating yourself?
