Had my weigh in at STARS tonight.......stayed the same. I was pretty cool with that as we had been out a few times this week and I hadn't exercised other than the full day in the garden.
So next week I shall get stuck into the walking again.
Thinking and praying for Tash (over at Little Scrapbook Shop) she went in to hospital to be induced this morning. We all haven't heard anything yet - getting rather anxious.
Hopefully will have an answer in the morning.
I have an appointment with the dietician about my diabetes tomorrow. Looking forward to that to see if there's anything different I can do or eat.
Til tomorrow...........have a great sleep.

Live, Laugh, Love
Here is a card I made using a photograph stamp.........just love this one.
Tip: When using photograph stamps it is best to use Nopa paper (available from Officeworks) it has the smooth texture required to get a good result.

Dad's birthday card
thought i would get a head start on a few birthday cards - so here is dad's for march.
For the "happy" I stamped it in white staz-on.
It didn't stamp too well so I just went over it
with white signo pen......bit of a nuisance but
it still worked ok.

A great Day!!!!!!!!!
Today we caught up with mum and dad (nan and pop) at the park in Warragul.
It was such a beautiful day - high 20's I think. Kids played in the water , of course...........got drenched from waist to toes .......all fun though.
While we were there our family friends turned up as well..........so plenty of kids running around.........they had a ball.
When we got home we heard the good news - Sean's mum and dad have bought a house and land package in Pakenham.........that's way cool. We can't believe after 7 years on the raod they are going to be living in Pakenham. We are all thrilled for them and can't wait to spend more time with them.
All in all...........a great day.

Happy Australia Day
Well Happy Australia Day to you all. Might take the kids for a drive and see what sort of events are on out and about today.
Not much else planned really - its going to be a bit warmer today which is good for the events people. It would be nice at the beach - if you liked the beach that is!!!!!! Not me though....ewwww. Like looking at it.......like rock pools and splashing my feet but that's about it.
I am going to be working on some creations for over at The Scrappers Stash for the challenge last night. Fell in a heap about 8.30 and pulled the pin.
Have a great day everyone - whatever you get up to.........and stay safe!!!!!

"Felt" it was time.............
to create a card using............."felt"...........LOL.
For this card I have used green felt with white polka dots and hand cut a scalloped edge and sewed it to card with cherry red embroidery thread. Then I cut some felt flowers and added brads. The little girl stamp is by StampinUp "All In The Family" stamp set. I stamped the image onto cardstock and cut it out and painted it and then stamped the dress again onto green felt.........and then I had to add the sentiment - coulnd't help myself.........."heart(felt)" wishes...........LOL.

A couple.........
of cards I made today.
For the first one I made a suffolk puff from fabric and some braiding which I stapled to the card.
The second one is using this fab cherry ribbon I have had for a while now..........the cherry and "sweet" stamps are by Sassafrass Lass. I added some dimensional magic to the cherries.

Here is a wedding card I made using the same organza flocked ribbon I used for the "love" card.
This time I sewed on some sequins and seed beads. The stamp is by Inkadinkado and I have added some more seed beads to the stamped image as well as liquid pearls.
The sentiment is a sticker by 7 Gypsies.

Today at Remember When's Blog I have added an Inspirational Idea.

I bought a Maxwell & William's fine bone china mug at the start of the year and loved the design and automatically thought "hey I could use this idea on a card!".
So here is a shot of the mug and the card I created using Bazzill cardstock, ric-rac, buttons, bling and Remember When's Flower Set 1 laser cuts.

To market, to market to buy a........................
...................nice stash of stickers.
Today we went to our local Sunday Market and I came across some Scrapping stuff in a nice neat pile. I rummaged through them and really only wanted two thirds of the stuff. I asked the lady how much she wanted for them and she said the whole lot for $20.00. I told her that I was only after certain bits and pieces, so I worked out what they were and she said $12.00..............SOLD to the lady in black!!!!
What a bargain - I worked out there is at least $30.00 dollars worth - there are 3 lots of Heidi Grace chipboard adhesive flocked letters there.............cool as.
Here they are.
A case of in the right place at the right time.
Lucky me!!!!!

Bloom
Here is a card which took me out of my comfort zone. I used browns/blacks and coppers.
I found the black/copper paper in my stash and then the rest just flowed.
I also found some copper rub-on creams which I used to detail the edge of the card.
Chipboard flourish is by Bella to which I inked with brown ink and then painted with H20's.
I used Delish Alpha's to stamp the title onto copper cardstock.

Haircut day
I always cut the kids hair - Tammy has been nagging me all week to cut hers. At the moment it is probably to her shoulder blades I suppose and she wants me to cut it to just above her shoulder line. I'm no hairdresser but I'll give it a go. I have cut it this short before but I reckon she may regret it. She's at the age where she's getting into the girlie stuff and wanting to look "just right"........quite a spunky little thing really.
I shall take a photo to share once I get those batteries for the camera.

Quite chuffed!!!!!
Last night was the first weigh in at STARS ( my local weight loss group Staying Together And Reducing Sensibly).
We have had a 5 week break over Christmas so the pressure was on.
I actually lost weight - 1.5kilos..........I was pumped!!!!!!!
Out of about 20 or so girls only 3 actually lost weight so it was nice to be in that category. Some of the girls have a bit of work to do - they had a REALLY good time over Christmas IYKWIM..............LOL. That's where the group is great as we are all there to support each other in good times and in bad!!!!!!! I also told the girls about my Diabetes and they too were all very supportive. It will be good for the group actually as any information that I receive from my Diabetic Educator and Dietician will also benefit the club. Cool.
When I told the kids they said "3 cheers for mum" and they all ran up to me and gave me a squeeze and a kiss..........Sean was wrapped for me too. They are all very supportive. I am very lucky.
So its onwards and upwards now...........I have started on my weight loss journey and get fit campaign..........feeling heaps better already.
Catch ya!!!!!

Had a fab day
Yesterday I dropped Josh off at his friends place about a half an hours drive from home.
While he was there catching up with an old kinder friend, the girls and I drove on to a shopping centre to catch up with one of my friends.
We had a great catchup and shopped for a little while and then sat and had lunch together - plenty of giggling going on too.
Popped into Smiggle - love that shop, and bought myself some stickers and this real funky patterned sticky tape and a little notebook.
The batteries in the camera are on the blink - think we need new ones. I charged them up and got the green light but the camera is telling me to "change the batteries" so once I have some new batteries I will take some shots to show you my new purchases.
