With all the romance of the Royal Wedding of Kate and William, I thought it would be nice to carry on the theme of Weddings.

I have to say that I absolutely loved the whole wedding.  I thought Kate looked stunning - her dress is gorgeous.  I also thought her sister Pippa looked equally lovely.  I hope they are happy together.

17 HAPPY YEARS

Today, after all the glory of the Royal Wedding, marks our 17th Anniversary.  We are still if not even more in love now.  We were remembering our special day - very similar to the day/weather that we experienced today.

We are celebrating by spending some quality time in the city tomorrow.  We may even share a cuppa and cake (even after 17 years I'm still not good with sharing my cakes............LOL!!!!)

Another card

Just wanted to share another card I worked on during the week - I nearly forgot.

Over at Scrapz Biz they hold a weekly challenge.  This week's theme was "basket".

So for my card I chose to do some basket weaving with patterned paper and then added some bits and pieces to create the card.

I love the colour combo too actually.  Very vintage.

Finally......................

I managed to sit down at my desk today to create a card.

I completed this card for a challenge over at a recently found blog - Jay Gee's.


I loved the inspirational pictures to choose from and basically went for the image of the little girl and the beautiful soft colours of the pinks and ashy blues/greens.

So this is my card.

I have used a gorgeous new little stamp by Pure Innocence "Out On A Limb", I also used buttons, paper flowers, lace, bias binding and some natual mesh.

April Fools Day. I don't like playing tricks on anyone nor do I like to see tricks played on someone. I always say to the kids - if you decide to play a little prank just be prepared for what may come back at you. Monthly challenge for March

Ok as March in Australia kicks of Autumn, my monthly challenge is to use Autumn tones and leaves. You may like to make some leaves from stamps, use real leaves or artificial ones - it's up to you. Make sure you incorporate the beautiful colours of autumn. This is my fave time of the year - the leaves are great, the air is clear and the sun still manages to shine. Bring it on. Embellish Magazine - Masculine Colour Trends

Here is my take on the challenge currently running at Embellish Magazine.

The challenge was to use 4 colours and produce a masculine card.

I have used chipboard squares and cogs by Scrapbook Lady, Pakenham and some Japanese tapes and also an old cog from a tape cassette. I made a card several years ago using the other red cog and was hanging onto this one for just the right thing. Oh and the sentiment is from a set of Hero Art stamps.

Happy Birthday To Me

Well there you have it - another year older!!!!!

I have to say I've had the bestest day.

It all started early this morning - the kids got up rather early to finish off my birthday cards - all handmade which I just love. Of course in true tradition - I cried when I TRIED to read them..........priceless stuff!!!! I am truly blessed I tell ya!!!!!

I have had lots and lots of text messages, phone calls and Facebook greetings - I am blown away. Thank you so much to all.

Sean and I both had the day off work and made our way into Melbourne. We walked up and down Chapel Street which was lots of fun, took some silly photos in one of those little photo booths, had a nice lunch together and a couple of cuppas. Back home in the afternoon in time for the kids to get home and then headed off for dinner to Sean's mum and dad's home for a nice home cooked dinner.

Fantastic day and feeling rather spesh!!!!

So as my mum would say "you're in your 43rd year now".................LOL!!!! Like I need reminding.............LOL!!!!!
