Back in January I put up a challenge to anyone who wished to take it up.

The challenge was to use last year's or previous years calendars to create something with them.

A card, OTP, layout - whatever takes your fancy.

Each month create something with that month's page - take a photo of the calendar page before you start so you can see the before and after and then pop back to my blog to share it with everyone so we can be inspired.

* some beads
*and some sort of trim - ribbon, twine etc.

I will be leaving the Giveaway open for a month from today - 10th April, 2010. You may also enter more than once if you like to increase your chances of winning. It will be a random draw so anyone can win!!!!!!!!

Happy Easter

Happy Easter everyone - gosh it's hard to believe that it's here. Wasn't it just Christmas???????

I hope everyone has a great day - please - if you're travelling - stay safe!!!!! This is one of the worst times of year for accidents.

We are having a nice quiet lunch at home and then catching up with Sean's mum and dad, sister, brother-in-law and 4 kids. Should be nice.

One more for good measure

Here is my 3rd card for the Card Patterns 57 sketch.

I have used another Hero Art set - Four Apples. I have also used a zig-zag stamp by Hero Arts and used an old tape measure, red/white trim and a heart and apple brad.

On a roll - Card Patterns 57

While I had all my stamps out I had a play and added another card.

I have used my newest "Clouds" stamp by Hero Arts and "Bicycle" stamp too. The "Just saying hello" is also by Hero Arts stamp "All Occasion" set.

I stamped the clouds again, cut 3 out and added some foam tape to give dimension.

Card Patterns 57

Here is a card I created for Sketch No. 57 over at Card Patterns.

I have used Hero Art Stamps - Bird In Cage, Measuring Tape Ribbon and "Love Always" from the All Occasion set.

Other bits and pieces - page from an old book, old lace, green organza ribbon and some buttons. Oh and I used my new punch from Stampin Up using the green cardstock.

White/Gold Ribbon Club at Craft Queen

I was lucky enough to play with some new ribbons from Craft Queen.

Here are the layouts and cards I created. I decided that the colours were crying out for wedding cards/layouts so that is what I did.

The wedding photos are ours - nearly 16 years ago.

Things you find

I was going through my work and came across this layou I completed a couple of years ago. I loved it at the time but forgot to pop it up on my blog so I though "why not" - pop it up today.

I have scrapped this photo a few times now in different ways and love it each time I see it.

Another Year Older!!!!

Yep - today I am another year older. It doesn't seem like a year ago I was celebrating being 40 and having my long awaited "pie-fight".

I woke up this morning to some gorgeous faces and they all managed to make me something that made me cry - of course!!!! I cry at everything but today was extra special as I received the most beautiufl little pressies.

Truly blessed.

Australian Papercraft Essentials Issue No. 7

Yay - popped into the newsagents to find my latest set of cards are in this issue. I was commissioned by the magazine to create some cards by making my own embellishments.

I found an old men's tie in an op-shop - it's teal and has a paisley design all over it. I also used the foil tops off yoghurt and butter, old photo slides, old sewing patterns, self-covering buttons, bottle caps, ice-cream lid (for the torso) and other bits and pieces. I used a piece of the tie for each card. They were so fun to make - I just love to recycle.
