Christmas Spirit Challenge - Week 4

Can't believe how fast this year is flying by.

Ok - Week 4's challenge is

North Pole and Snowman

 First up is Jane's card.  She has done a bit of fancy cutting - it looks so cute Jane - thanks again for joining in.

And here is Deb's card.  She made this for her little grandson, Harry.  How cute is the little snowman?  Too cute.  It made me instantly smile.  Well done Deb.

Christmas Spirit Challenge - Week 3

Week 3 this week and this week you need to create a card or anything you like with a

Candle and a die cut shape.

Off you go - your time starts now.

First off is Jane's creation - great job Jane.  I have included 2 shots as in the first one Jane forgot to heat set the puff paint but I've included it because the photo is a little clearer than the second one.

12 Days Of Christmas 2012

Ok - I have been asked by my dear friend Jane - "when are you doing the next 12 Days Of Christmas?".  So as you may or may not know I love a challenge. (You can check out my previous years challenges if you would like to get started on them first.)

Keep an eye out over the next few days (could be earlier) and see what I have in store. I don't think it will necessarily be 12 Days of Christmas - it will probably be let's just start getting ourselves organized.

I need to get stuck into something just for me so this sounds like a plan.

Just havin' fun

I've been having some fun joining in some challenges over at The Creative Paper Trade Blog.

I just love everything about this place and couldn't resist and had to join in.

Here are a couple of cards - the first one is for the colour challenge and the second one is for the square challenge.

I have used all bits and pieces including my Handmade Daisy and the patterned papers are from Simple Stories which are up there with my all time fave papers.  The little note is from The Creative Paper Trail digi set - love it!!!

GIVEAWAY

I have been doing a lot of reflecting today - especially after being present at Lyn's funeral.

As the saying goes "life is too short"................so I thought why not start a little challenge. 

I have been pretty slack in Blogland these days - life gets so busy.

But - I thought about a little giveaway.

The challenge is to create a card with a "FRIEND" theme.

The idea of the challenge will be for you to pop back here with a link to your card and I will pop them up in a gallery for everyone to see.

The next part of the challenge will be to actually send this card to a friend.  Friends are such priceless things and I know for sure that I would be abosolutely lost without mine.

Farewell dear friend

Today I will be saying farewell to another dear friend.  It really tugs on your heart when you have to say goodbye to someone.
Dear Lyn has been battling cancer for the last 3 years.  She was such a softly spoken, beautiful woman and friend.  A true inspiration to all who met her or knew her online.

A message goes out to all who are suffering with this terrible disease - you are in my thoughts and prayers.

Take time out today to do something that has been on your "to do list" - none of us know how long we have here on earth - make the most of it!!!

Hello - waving to everyone!!!!!

Hi everyone, gosh it's been a while since I've been to visit my blog - thank you to those of you who pop in to have a little visit!!!

I have been very busy so that's just one of the reasons why I haven't popped in.

Another reason is that I am in the middle of having a clean up/clean out of things.

Hello to all

Just thought I'd pop in to say a quick hi to everyone!!!!

Life is just so busy, as I'm sure you know - who's isn't?????

What have I been up to?  Loving my work at Scrapbook Lady, doing lots of creating for work and in general.   I have a couple of lots of cards coming up over the next month or two so will let you know when they come up.

Home life is great - kids are getting older.  Emily has just bought her first car, yet to go for learners yet but at least she has her own car to learn in.  Tammy is working at Subway and Josh - well he's just busy being Josh.....LOL.  Sean's happy working at Total Tools and life in general is great.

How are things in your part of the world?
