WCMD Scrap Biz

Here are another 2 cards created for challenges at Scrapz Biz.
One was a Card Sketch Challenge so I went for a vintage feel.
The second one was to use a layered look - the challenge was to create a ladybird card but I went a step further to creat a Christmas Tree instead.

Thanks for popping in.
What have you been creating?

WCMD Scrapz Biz

Here is a card I created for a challenge over at Scrapz Biz.
It was a Recipe Challenge which meant we had to use
red, buttons, spots and string.
So of course - like most of my cards - my fave recipe would be red and green and of course I just HAD to make an apple card.....hehe!!!!

2 Sketches 4 You Sketch No. 36

Here is my card using sketch no.36.

I have used a nice bright stripy pp by Scenic Route, hand drawn doodled scallop card, rainbow ribbon and matching brads, heart brads and the large heart is actually a hairpin - I just pulled the backing off and added some double sided foam tape, oh and a heart pin.

That's it I think.

Great sketch.

$150 Cash Back

Aha..............tricked ya!!!!!!! That got your attention though didn't it???????

I picked up this flier at our local Retravision store. I liked the colours and of course the retro feel to the flier.

Would you like to join in a challenge? I am challenging myself to create a card using the flier as inspiration. I may go for a retro feel or maybe I'll pick some of the colours.

The choice is yours.

If you do create something - drop back here, leave a comment and a link to your creation. Can't wait to see what you come up with.

I received an email from Ebay this morning asking to take part in the celebrations of 10 Year Anniversary of Ebay.

2nd Birthday Celebrations

Just reporting back in with all the fun of the day for Stephen's 2nd Birthday.

We headed off from home on our little adventure over to Wonthaggi to help celebrate Stephen's Birthday.

On the way we stopped off at Kilkunda beach. It has the most magnificent of views - one of which is this one.

This is on the side of the ride as you are driving along you can see the ocean through this gorgeous old trestle bridge. It used to have a good old steam train that ran across it. Imagine that - that would have been magical. I have this love for old things and old bridges are right up there!!!

The scenery was spectacular - I would have stopped off to take heaps more photos but we were on a mission to catch up with our friends.

Medina was so pleased to see us all. Stephen was a little daunted I think - all of these people just focusing on him. He loves the camera but he always smiles after the camera has taken the shot.

Here he is - he wasn't too sure about the candles and the singing but we all kept on singing Happy Birthday. As a rule the Sudanese people don't celebrate birthdays but I said to Medina when he was born "Stephen is a little Aussie". She had to laugh. I think Medina enjoyed the fact that we help celebrated his birthday.

This shot shows the little present we bought Stephen. Its one of those Grip Ball sets. You know the one with the Velcro that makes the ball stick. He loved it. At first he didn't know what to do but he soon got the hang of it. I think it is going to drive Medina mad in the end with the scratchy noise it makes. LOL!!!!! (These 2 photos are courtesy of Tammy - she bought a new camera with her birthday money - thanks Tam)

The next photo is of Stephen's little brother Steward. He is now 6 months old and has the most adorable little chubby chops. They were both getting lots of cuddles and kisses. We had to soak them up while we were there.

A great little visit had by all.

Using up scraps

There's nothing I like better than using up scraps.

I made this card the other day and had some bits and pieces left over so I just had to create another card. I made it for my friend actually and she absolutely loved it.

I used my cuttlebug to emboss about two thirds of the green cardstock - didn't mind that look for a change and then I also used a Bosscut scroll die cut and of course the scraps of paper leftover from the above card. I also added one of my Handmade Daisies in Baby Pink.

Thanks for popping in.

Chocolate Anyone??????

Here is a card I made using one of my new Handmade Daisies Colours - "Chocolate"

I have used some old patterned paper that's been in my stash for a while. I think it was Scenic Route.

Kept this card fairly simple.

Use Up Those Unwanted Alphas

I was just visiting one of my regular forums and someone posted this link

http://www.scrabblesolver.net/

It's a handy way of using up all of those alphas you have leftover from cards/layouts etc.

Just pop in the letters you have and bingo bango - it gives you some ideas.

Now that is handy!!!!! Just wanted to share with all of my friends.

Kellies Card Sketch No.3

Here is a card I created using a sketch from Kellie’s blog. Go and check it out – she’s always looking for someone to join in.

I used Basic Grey patterned paper, some different ribbons and my newly aquired die cut ”asterisk” for my cuttlebug.

I actually ended up making it for Em’s friend’s birthday.
